Getting to Port Moresby is mainly by planes. The only airport of entry and departure for international flights  is through Jacksons International Airport in Port Moresby.  The country's  national airline is Air Niugini  and it has weekly flights from the following cities.

Travel to other parts of the countries from Port Moresby is also by plane only and three(3) airlines.

1. Air Niugini which is the national airline has extensive domestic services to all major towns in the country.
2. Airlines PNG  offers domestics flights as well as charter flights 
3. TravelAir PNG  offers domestic flights to selected provinces in the country.

Papua New Guinea has land border with Indonesia and foreigners can enter PNG through the Jayapuara in Indonesia and then take a domestic flight from Vanimo town in the West Sepik Province to Port Moresby.
The border is manned by both Indonesian and Papua New Guinea military and immigration officers.
