When you are visiting Port Moresby, it is not easy to get around so it's best to shop at a shop which is closest to your residence. However, during day or evening you can go to many of main Shopping Centres in Port Moresby. Here is a list of the major ones:
1. Vision City Maga Mall (www.visioncity.com.pg
This is the one of the first big Shopping Malls located at the heat of Waigani which is more less the central part of city. It is very close and walking distance to three (3) big hotels, the Holiday Inn Hotel, Lamana Hotel, and Laguna Hotel. It has few restaurants, a food court and host of other retail outlets.
2. Waterfront Shopping Mall
This is located right in the seafront of the CBD area of Port Moresby, close to the main wharf on reclaimed land from the sea. It has ample parking space and lot of foreigners shop there. It's close to Crone Plaza hotel, the Ela Beach Hotel and Grand Papua Hotel. If you are staying in one of these hotels, ask the reception desk and they will assist you to get there.
3. Waigani Central Shopping Complex:
This is recently a build complex and its still developing. It is located in the heart of Waigani easy access from Holiday Inn Port Moresby hotel, Lamana Hotel and Laguna hotel. It is owned by the largest detail company group CPL.

4. Geheru Shopping
This shopping centre is located about 30 minutes drive from the central Waigani area. Gerehu is one of the biggest suburb area in Port Moresby. The shopping area there consists of three big supermarkets (Papindo Shopping Centre), TST Shopping Centre and Geheru Supermarket. There is also a main local market right at the back of stores. Here, you can find most Asian oriented food products.
